Neither of the twins wear glasses in daily life. They both prefer using contact lenses but only Nathalie wears them full time. She told me that she really likes to see everything crisp and clear. By contrast, Kimberley only puts her contact lenses in when it's really necessary. They only have a mild myopia of -1.50, well below the generally accepted limit of minus three when full time wear becomes a necessity. There was a gigantic time pressure on this photo shoot but it was nice to glean some bits of information about the differences between both twins. Each girl is clearly an individual with her own preferences and interests. This made my life much easier during the photo shoot. In spite of their strong physical similarities I never had a problem telling the one from the other. It would be a challenge to repeat the procedure some day with identical twins who are really 100% lookalikes.
