Wide eyed Nathalie and tiny eyed Kimberley posing in identical glasses from the Exclusiv series produced by Rodenstock in the 1980's. I was particulary pleased with the fruits of this series because of the perfect way in which the twins show the different aspect of a face behind positive and negative lenses. The prescriptions in both glasses are some ten diopters different and both models had to cope with a barrier of four to six diopters but they kept producing one fine double portrait after the other. The mellowness in Nathalie's eyes and the crispness in Kimberley's eyes make a very fine contrast indeed. This is what I had in mind after adopting my partner Nel's idea to try a photo shoot with identical twins in identical glasses. Everything in these double portraits is similar except for the illogical tricks played by the opposing prescriptions in the lenses. Hat off for Nathalie and Kimberley!
