This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Sohaila 039
A fine portrait of Sohaila posing in Christian Dior glasses made three decades ago. By the early 1980's, Dior followed the example of Silhouette, adding serial numbers to their frames. Two years ago, the Silhouette company kindly fulfilled my request to put a year of manufacture to many of their glasses in my collection. It would be interesting to have similar data about the early Dior glasses. This frame was apparently designed with high myopic ladies in mind. The lenses in these glasses are one centimeter thick but this is neatly hidden by the way the massive frame folds back towards the arms.
