This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 155
During the history part of their photo shoot, Miriam and her daughter Esther posed in 30 series of two glasses each. The 30 series imply a journey through a full century of glasses fashion. The final series.shows how drastic fashion changed between 1990 (represented by Miriam's glasses) and 2000 (Esther's glasses).
Miriam's glasses were made for Viennaline by Paloma Picasso. The frame size comes close to the smaller frames of the 1980's but the frame material has changed and so have the colour patterns. The glasses have lenses for mild myopia: minus two and minus three. The Picasso glasses were featured in three photo shoots for my first weblog: Astrid (185, second photo shoot, in the snow), Gita (056) and Nanda (054) who all posed in 2010.
By contrast, Esther's glasses are small and square. The lenses are minus nine. The glasses were first bought by a German lady in her mid forties who went for her first progressives. The only previous model who posed in these glasses was Claudine (180, second photo shoot).
