This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 144
Glasses Esther (left): nameless, late 1990's [L: -1.25 / R: -2.25]
Glasses Miriam: Björn Borg, late 1990's [L: -2.50; c-0.75 v / R: -4.00; c-1.00 v]
When I put the glasses for the photo shoot with Miriam and Esther on the tables in the ceramic art studio, they were laid down in couples. Most glasses were similar in age and / or style and their sizes were a bit different so that each model would have a fitting - and hopefully, matching - frame. Here is a fine example of this arrangement. Unfortunately, this is the only of five portraits taken that came out well. I was trying to speed up the photo shoot by taking the camera from the tripod and my hands are not as stable as they used to be. Old age is setting in :).
Esther's glasses were a recent find in the area where I'm living. The nameless green retro glasses suit her quite well. The more a model likes the glasses, the better the posing. The g;asses were not used in any of my previous photo shoots.
Miriam's glasses, made by Björn Borg, were kindly given to me by an experienced model called Lettie who did an excellent photo shoot for me in 2011. The glasses were first featured in a photo shoot with Tineke (091) in 2010 for my first weblog. They were also used during my first photo shoot with Claudine (043) in 2011 for the present weblog.
