This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Doreen 002
Doreen posing in celluloid glasses that were a hype in the 1930's. There are no nose pads on the frame, these were only invented shortly after the second World War. The late John Lennon made frames like this popular again around 1970 and they were used by male and female hippies. The glasses from the Lennon revival were silver, not celluloid. All glasses were unisex until the 1950's when the cat eye era started. Note the double image of the model's left eye. This is caused by the strength of the lenses (-10.50).
