This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Doreen 007
Another delightful portrait of Doreen in celluloid glasses from the 1930's. The lenses are -10.50 and as was the custom in those days, made biconcave to reduce the thickness at the edges. Biconcave lenses are often found in antique trial lenses. I was lucky to come across a cheap trial lens set at the "Waterlooplein" flea market in Amsterdam during the 1980's. This extensive trial lens set came handy as it enabled me to measure the Rx of all the glasses in my collection.
