These are a few lines from the song "Crystal Veil" which I composed in December 2004. It served as title track on my solo CD which was recorded in the summer of 2005 and launched two years later. Shortly after the recording I started to sing the song at gigs and on one of these occasions I started to sing "your eyes play the game" spontaneously, instead of "your eyes are the game". A few weeks later, upon hearing the recording I realized that this was the key behind the song, the story behind the story. The song was not written for a specific muse, it's simply a song in praise of the beauty of ladies in glasses. What makes more sense than singing about a lady who is both object ("your eyes are the game") and subject ("your eyes play the game") in the game of the eyes between a beautiful girl and a gradually melting male poet? Anyway, the shop windows are there, no doubt about it :).
