Mother and daughter 090

Miriam (left) and Esther posing great in yet another nice combination of glasses made over 30 years ago.
Miriam's glasses, called "Venus", were made by Promode in the late 1970's or early 1980's. They stand out because of the unusual but elegant shape of the frame, especially the eyebrow line. "Venus" has been a favourite among my models right from the start of the project. I came across Venus at the "Waterlooplein" flea market (Amsterdam) during the mid to late 1980's.
Esther's glasses were part of the first generation of glasses made by the famous Christian Dior in 1976 / 1977. Revolutionary glasses indeed. I got this pair in Switzerland, nearly fifteen years ago. Dior glasses took the international market by storm but they were especially popular in Switzerland.
