The idea of having the identical twins posing in identical glasses came from my life partner Nel. This couple of vintage cat eye glasses by Whitney sprang to my mind immediately when I realized the potential of a photo shoot in which not the frames but the lenses would create the difference. Here Nathalie plays the long sighted girl and Kimberley the short sighted twin sister - a combination which I only saw once in my life. This was in 1964 during the long bus drive home from school. Two sisters - probably twins but not identical twins - were always in the same bus and I was amazed by their glasses. The frames were indifferent but one sister was very long sighted and the other sister extremely shortsighted. Possibly +8 and -12 or so. After a year the sisters did not show up and I never saw them again but their image was never forgotten. It's nice to bring this precious memory back with the help of Nathalie and Kimberley!
