A double portrait of the twins checking the looks of their sister in Christian Dior bifocals from the mid 1980's, long before they were born. It may seem odd to have young models posing in bifocal glasses but actually the number of young ladies in need of bifocals is growing fast. This "illogic" phenomenon is caused by the excessive use of modern devices like mobile phones kept far too close, causing eye strain. Bifocal lenses are also prescribed by opticians when children develop myopia at an alarming speed. This bifocal explosion seems to be going on in the USA but so far it has not reached the streets of my native Holland. Note the reflection of the reading segment in Nathalie's glasses on the wall in the background.
