This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Nathalie & Kimberley 041
Nathalie and Kimberley posing in yet another couple of identical glasses made by Silhouette three decades ago. Unlike many other Silhouette glasses from the 1980's I have no recollection of ladies in these glasses in the streets - possibly because the frame was not striking enough or "only" sported by grannies. Whatever the reason, this frame 1080 sold fairly well. The glasses with the tinted lenses were acquired in Switzerland and the other pair in the Netherlands. Both pairs are fitted with varifocal lenses for longsighted ladies with a level of presbyopia indicating that they were in their fifties when they bought the glasses.
