"Focus and attention" - great posing by Marike, conjuring up the image of an athlete or speed skater at the start of her race. Back in the 1960's and 1970's, some athletes, swimmers and ice skaters did their races in glasses and some of them won gold medals. Heide Rosendahl was a famous German athlete who won several Olympic medals. Stien Baas-Kaiser was a Dutch world champion at ice skating. Ada Kok won her Olympic medals, swimming in strong minus glasses. All these ladies were icons at the time - and not bad for the promotion of glasses either!
