Lens thickness in these "Kathy" glasses by Lygo is about
one millimeter per diopter: 13 and 14 millimeters. The major
"cut in" effect was a bit of a gamble when I suggested that
Claudine might give them a try. When she obligingly put up
the glasses I felt reassured. To me, the overall effect is not
a further narrowing of the model's face - quite the contrary.
The narrow but solid frame with its soft colour works as an
extension of the face, without blowing the composition out of
proportion.
