A lovely portrait of Léonne posing in steel glasses with
straight arms, made circa 1900. Needless to say, the wearing
comfort of this type of glasses was much better than the
main alternatives at the time, the pince-nez and especially
the face à main. Nevertheless, these alternatives were in
high demand and regarded more fashionable than what we
now refer to as glasses!
