Margriet 136

Like Rodenstock, Metzler produced solid frames that were designed
to be equipped with strong minus lenses. Contact lenses had arrived
in the late 1960's but they were not tolerated by everyone and many
ladies preferred to keep at their glasses. The 1970's saw the introduction
of many new materials for the frames and this is a fine example. Thank
you, Margriet, for leading us back to the happy days of innovation in
eyeware!
