Opticians invariably use photos of models posing in glasses with plano
lenses or even in empty frames. One might argue that this is consistent
with the way their clients try out the frames in the shops, but the photos
only show half the product. In my view, portraying models in prescription
glasses would give the clients a far better impression of the product. This
fine portrait of Margriet is a good example. The lenses are about twice
her own Rx, four diopters off - the very same difference as in portraits
behind empty frames. The power rings add a lively effect to the portrait.
