This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 073
Cheerful posing by Esther (left) and Miriam in red glasses made some 35 years ago. Both glasses are fairly strong (around minus seven) but the massive blur did not bother the models. The glasses were acquired at the "Waterlooplein" flea market in my native Amsterdam, sometime during the 1980's.
Esther's glasses are called "Dita". Rodenstock often gave each series of glasses the name of a girl. A request to the Rodenstock company to put a year of manufacture on each series has not been fulfilled. A pity!
Miriam's glasses were made by Metzler in the mid or late 1970's. Both pairs were featured in several of my previous photo shoots.
