The marbly structure of the frame was a novelty in the late 1980's and in Germany, many glasses in this new material were sold throughout the 1990's. Sadly, in the Netherlands tiny retro glasses were all the opticians had in store for their clients from 1989 until a few years ago when the black hipster glasses took over.
