The building of Na Piobairi Uilleann was in a poor state when the organisation acquired it in the late 1970's. Over the years, NPU managed to acquire funding and gradually the headquarters changed into an example of excellent renovation and decoration. I was a member of NPU for over thirty years and paid regular visits to their headquarters, exchanging news with the secretary and sometimes participating in their events like a piping marathon near the Bank of Ireland. It was a great opportunity to do the photo shoot with Osi in these familiar surroundings.
