This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Emilia 142
Emilia showing the visual effect of the facets on the side of the huge lenses. A reflection of her make-up can be seen reflected next to her left eye. For contrast, the rim of the "shop window" in front of her right eye produces an image of a white object in the distance. Both images are enclosed by a narrow dark rim which may be the reflection of the model's haircut. For keen observers like me, the streets became poorer places when tiny retro frames took over at the very end of the 1980's. It's good that the bold big frames are back but their variety is nothing compared to the heyday of the large frames 35 years ago. Fingers crossed....
