This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 070
Esther posing in a pair of glasses made by Lozza in the mid 1970's. The solid frame is quite suitable for high prescriptions. The glasses were a welcome find at the "Waterlooplein" flea market in Amsterdam sometime during the 1980's. They were in box which also contained a much smaller pair of glasses made by Metzler. The glasses looked as if they came from the same nose. Back home, I measured the lenses and it turned out that the prescription in both glasses was almost identical. The Lozza glasses were featured in half a dozen photo shoots on my first weblog (Conny 083, Farishta 555, Astrid 250, Marleen 123, Petra 064, Nanda 252) and it's nice to see them back after a couple of years.
