Mother and daughter 008

After doing the photo shoot with identical twins Nathalie and Kimberley, the idea of a mother and daughter photo shoot ran into my head. Arrangements were made with a mother and daughter in my own area but their photo shoot had to be postponed as the daughter in question preferred to be freed of her braces first :). My life partner Nel mentioned that her ceramic art teacher Miriam might be interested in doing a photo shoot. When I paid Miriam a visit, she introduced me to her daughter Esther and I invited them to do the photo shoot together. Many of their portraits show the rapport between mother and daughter in a splendid way. Note the contrast between the lenses in the face à main. Miriam could see her daughter quite well through the upper segment of her bifocal face à main whereas all Esther saw was a massive blur. Note the circle shaped reading segment in the lens in front of Miriam's left eye. This bifocal face à main was first used in my photo shoot with Charlotte in 2010 (first weblog). The face à main shown by Esther was acquired in 2010 and subsequently featured in a dozen photo shoots. By coincidence, the first model who posed in them was also called Esther. To avoid confusion, the present photo shoot is called "Mother and daughter" instead of "Miriam and Esther".
