Lucy 214

Most of the old part of Amsterdam is very busy indeed. Lots of traffic, many tourists. But there are some quiet places as well. I was born and raised in Amsterdam so it was easy to pick and choose some suitable locations for the two hours photo shoot with Lucy. The first location was at the corner of a canal called Kloveniersburgwal and a street called Zandstraat, at the edge of the former Jewish Quarter. The famous flea market "Waterlooplein" (my first hunting ground when starting to collect glasses in the early 1970's) is just two blocks away. Note the tiny image of the house number through the left lens of the Nina Ricci glasses. From early childhood I was always fascinated by girls and ladies in prescription glasses and one of the reasons for this were the sightings of the tiny moving background images the ladies always carried with them.
