Esther 101

When these glasses came to me I first thought that they
were made by Cazal, but there is no name on the frame.
The model's eyes seem round compared to all her previous
portraits and this is caused by the axis of the strong cylinders
in the lenses. Generally speaking, a horizontal axis (90 degrees)
is more flattering to the lady's eyes than the more common
vertical axis (0 or, if preferred, 180 degrees). The effect can
also be seen in my first photo shoot with Marleen who has
minus four cylinders with an almost horizontal axis direction.

Another big compliment to Esther for the natural looks in this
pair of glasses. Many models commented that strong & wrong
cylinders in the lenses makes the posing far more difficult than
a dioptric strength that is way off. Somehow, Esther manages
to pose as if everything is crystal clear. Hat off for the lady!
