Christian Dior took the stage by storm when they started
manufacturing glasses in the mid 1970's. The design of the
frames was quite characteristic and consistent in its little
eccentricities. The arms were often on the short side and
the colour of the frames was a simple but intense red, blue
or green. After a few years, Dior concentrated on more
subtle ocre and brown colours. The frame of the glasses
shown here by Esther is solid, high and narrow and as a
result, she was rather limited in her lively way of posing
