This fine portrait of Claudine in Rodenstock glasses from
1980 concludes her photo shoot which lasted three hours.
Claudine is the 32th Lady behind Crystal Veil.
I wish to thank Claudine for taking up the challenge to pose
for me in prescription glasses from my collection. For me, this
photo shoot was a challenge as well I had to look at my glasses
from a different perspective, so to speak. Some of my previous
models had a PD of 56 - only one millimeter over Claudine's PD -
but I had to select glasses in terms of their compatibility with a
narrow face. There are certain thumb rules for frame choice but
I also wished to offer Claudine a journey through time and see if
my little "glasses shop" contained more than just a couple of frames
that matched with her face. The selection process took a bit longer
than usual but the results were rewarding indeed.
Claudine, thank you so much for a pleasant afternoon and for your
highly individual, restrained way of posing. It was obvious that you
had prepared yourself well for your photo shoot. We did not manage
to try all the glasses as planned and I look forward to give those
frames a try soon. To be continued.... it will be my privilege and honour.
Till then!
Finally, a word of thanks to my partner Nel for the use of her garden
and her office.
