Something extraordinary happened when I took these

pictures of Melissa in my collection of new glasses.

She said several times that all of a sudden she could see

quite well through the glasses. This is remarkable as the

Rx of the lenses is some six diopters above her own mild

prescription. It may have to do with the fact that Melissa

had been posing in fifteen glasses that were stronger than

the new frames. Another explanation is the influence of the

rain. I remember a story from a myopic ex-partner who

hurried out of the house into the rain without her glasses.

She always hated her glasses and she was thrilled that she

could see quite well without them. Alas for her, when she

returned into the house, the familiar blur came back and she

had to put on her glasses again. As soon as Melissa and I

returned into the house, she regained her own mild level of

myopia straightaway. Sigh of relief from my side - no photo

shoot should ever result in a sudden increase of myopia....

Needless to say, the bonus is that Melissa is really focussing

well on several pictures from this section!
