Melissa managed to pose extremely well in glasses from
several decades ago and this portrait could have made a
fine advertisement for the pince-nez in 1911. However,
there were no fashion magazines at the time that would
have accepted this portrait for their cover. The reason?
Make up for the eyes was considered indecent behaviour!
