Along with the "Tanja" frames by Rodenstock, these nameless glasses were part of the mainstream in the streets of Amsterdam around 1960. The late 1950's are always associated with rather extreme cat eye glasses but in reality they were only chosen by a small minority of trend setters. This pair was previously used in my photo shoots with Elena, Gita, Margriet, Tineke and Lettie in 2010 and it's nice to compare the portraits. Note the passer by in the background - one of the very few that dared to brave the cold.
