In 1967 the small, solid frames made way for glasses that gradually got bigger and bigger. In those days I wanted to become an optician and followed the changes in fashion with an eager eye. One of my classmates had a pair of glasses like this. She was always complaining that she hated her glasses and she only used them when it was absolutely necessary although she looked gorgeous in them. Contact lenses were just emerging but rather uncomfortable compared to say a decade later.
