Daisy 194



Back in the very first year of portrait photography (1840) the exposure time for one picture was several minutes. The standard instruction was "Sit still as death" and the advice was to keep the head steady with the support of one hand. Present day camera's work a good bit faster but the weight of a solid frame fitted with thick strong lenses cannot be underestimated :).
