One might argue that eyewear only became a fashion
element during the cat eye era, but our myopic ancestors
did have some choice around 1900. Basically they had
three options: wearing a pince-nez, a face à main, or steel
glasses with straight arms. The pince-nez was quite popular
at the time but it required some precautions.
