with lenses tinted pink. As far as I know, this was a new
development at the time - lenses in the same colour as the
frame. My then girlfriend Ria chose the very same option
when she needed new glasses around 1971. She disliked
her old pair but knowing well that her mother would not
spend money on a new pair, she left her glasses somewhere,
claiming she lost them. Her mother made her promise that
she would wear her new glasses fulltime. Ria had no problem
with that and needless to say, neither had I....
