When Christian Dior started designing and manufacturing
eyewear in the mid 1970's, they took the stage by storm.
The colours were very basic and bright: red, green and blue.
It was their revolutionary, yet consistent style of design that
set Dior glasses apart. One could easily recognize that a lady
was wearing Dior glasses, even if she walked the other side
of the road. My then partner (later mother of my daughter)
and I were poor students but we bought a green Dior for her
when I was working in Switzerland in 1976. A couple of years
later Dior replaced the basic colours by somewhat discrete
ocre and brown frames. Bianca poses here in a distinguished
style, reminiscent of well off ladies three decades ago.
