These giant glasses by GC were made in 1975. I first met my ex-wife in January of that year and one of her best friends sported an identical pair. Even in those days, there was discussion about the size of glasses like this. The lenses were often referred to as "shop windows" and I later used that expression in the chorus of my song "Crystal Veil".
