During her first photo shoot Lucy posed in dozens of glasses around her own prescription and neither of us felt the need to repeat the same glasses. So I dug up some glasses that had escaped my attention during last year's selection process. This splendid pair of varifocals by Christian Dior was an obvious candidate and it caught Lucy's fancy when she did her selection for the first part of the photo shoot on the cold stairs of a 17th century building. The left lens is far too strong but the right lens was not too far off. The frame was a big seller for Dior in the mid and late 1980's and most of the buyers were elderly ladies of taste who could afford an expensive pair of glasses. During Lucy's debut at the catwalk in Germany I already noticed that she liked the classic glasses from the 1970's and 1980's by Silhouette and Dior so her choice of this pair did not come as a surprise to her court photographer.
