This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Jolien 148
Glasses design and manufacturing has been international
for many decades, yet a touch of national flavour has
remained. This was aptly illustrated when I mentioned
that these glasses were a new arrival from Germany.
Jolien's husband Andy attended the photo shoot and he
reacted straightaway: "Dutch women don't wear glasses
like these, it's always the German ladies who wear them!".
I do remember seeing - and meeting - some Dutch ladies
in glasses not unlike these, but the assymetrical curve in front
is very German indeed. German ladies nowadays are more
inclined to experiment than our "Netherlandines"....
