This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 151
As retro fashion continued, frames became smaller until they were only one third of what was seen in the streets ten years before. In my opinion, most retro frames were rather dull but there were some notable exceptions, especially in Germany where designers tried to come up with novelties while still keeping pace with the general dictate of retro fashion. Here we see mother Miriam and daughter Esther posing happily in the style that was popular around the turn of the millennium.
Esther (left) is wearing a tilted square pair that was made in Italy but acquired in Germany. These tiny glasses were not used in any of my previous photo shoots.
Miriam's glasses have an inscription on the arms but it's illegible. The frame shape is "tilted square" as well. These glasses were used in two previous photo shoots, first in 2010 with Gita (120) for the first weblog and last year with freelance model Daisy in Flanders for the present weblog.
Miriam and Esther were amused when they saw these tiny glasses on the table. Their cheerful looks prove that "the more a model likes a pair of glasses, the better the results". Good!
