This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Sohaila 025
The very end of the 1970's brought a revival of the rimless glasses. Needless to say, the new glasses were twice as big as the rimless glasses from the 1950's and early 1960's. The lenses are minus four and minus five. Sohaila was not bothered by the additional -1.00 in the lenses. In my opinion, the big rimless glasses really suit her well. Again, the lenses are one centimeter thick at the edges. The first owner of the glasses spent some extra money so that the sides of the lenses could be faceted. This gives the glasses an element of luxury. It also creates an optical illusion, giving the viewer the impression that the lenses are not all that thick. Note the lively effects in the faceted sides of the lenses.
