This blog is dedicated to ladies in glasses. The vast majority of the portraits on this blog feature ladies wearing glasses near their own Rx. I felt that this would give a more natural flavour to the pictures and also a more natural setting for the photo shoots from which the pictures on this blog are selected. Nearly all the glasses featured in this blog are from my own collection.

Mother and daughter 142
From time to time, I receive requests about the glasses in which my models are posing. A recurrent request is if more glasses for long sight can be included in my photo shoots. So far, it has been very difficult to find models with a prescription for long sight, but I have good hope for the near future.
Esther's glasses were kindly sent to me by a collector from London who was so impressed by my photo shoots that he sent me a part of his collection as a gift. In the box were some twenty glasses, including this retro pair by Ralph Lauren. These are glasses for long sight or possibly readers. I was delighted when Esther decided to give them a try. The glasses were not featured in any of my previous photo shoots.
Miriam's glasses, made by Francois Pintin, were featured in at least four photo shoots. Irma (029) in 2009 and Nanda (041) in 2010 posed in them for my first weblog. Karen (017) and Jolien (070, first photo shoot) posed in 2011 and both can be seen in the Pintin glasses on the present weblog. The glasses were also used during the catwalk at the opening of my first exhibition. The model was a young lady called Mirjam (it's a bit confusing with the similar or identical names so that's why this photo shoot is called "Mother and daughter :) and she can be seen in one of the video clips made during the opening (see You Tube Lentilux).
Miriam and Esther kept cheerful throughout their photo shoot which took us three hours. Great!
